Alcester Singers Christmas concert: the choir will perform O Come, Emanuel a work composed by Alan Bullard in 2013. This is a advent celebration which includes readings and some familiar tunes. There will also be a selection of festive songs and carols performed which the audience are invited to join the choir in singing too.

Our Christmas Concert will be an opportunity to enjoy some wonderful Christmas music performed by the choir along side professional soloists soprano Katie Leaver and baritone Paul Mocroft, including In Terra Pax by Finzi. There will also be familiar seasonal favourites and the opportunity to sing along with well know Christmas carols. The concert starts at 4pm, a perfect start to the Christmas season.

The choir will be joined by soprano soloist Katie Leaver and baritone soloist Paul Mocroft as well as a string quintet and Colin Druce on the organ to perform a programme that has been planned to reflect that 2024 is the 100th anniversary of the death of both Gabriel Faure and Charles Villiers Stanford.
